When my daughter Chieko was a teenager she studied Tae Kwon Do. Her classmates and she had risen to a point where they were breaking in half wooden boards with their bare hands. There were a lot of broken wooden boards lying around. I started collecting them to paint on. Where the unbroken boards came from I no longer remember.
